“Angels and crows passed
 each other, kutta

  one leaving,

 the other coming”
 - Jerry Spinelli

Kutta is made up of triangles, forming pixels, to create this imagined creature from the
future; part human, part bird, with its wing dragging along the ground. This creature
is a sort of shepherd; a hybrid of human, frog and bird – a lasting soul from an earlier

age, morphed so far that it is almost unrecognisable. The body is made up of recycled
inner tyres and plastic, all materials that are mass-produced in our industrial world; it

has become the very thing that led to the destruction of its habitat, in order to survive.
Wearing the mask of the Plague Doctor, it still attempts to protect itself from the world
outside. The link between the historical and the digital shows the duality of both past

and future existing within it; humanity not learning from its mistakes.

A nomadic figure, that has walked these wastelands for as long as time

and has collected everything it can from the world before,
it adorns itself in fragments of history and memory,
around its feet, its flock of nestlings.

                                                                                                                      kutta
